Shmuel's Diary

You’ve just read chapter 10, where Bruno meets Shmuel for the first time. So far in this book, we’ve seen everything through Bruno’s eyes. The upsetting move to "Out-With", the men and boys in striped pyjamas, the soldiers in their various uniforms and the mysterious huts and smoke stacks behind the wire fence.

Shmuel has a very different perspective on all this. In the comments section below, write Shmuel’s diary entry for the day he met Bruno. Make reference to his morning and his journey to the meeting point at the fence, as well as his feelings following the meeting with this new boy with whom he has so much in common.
